Doctrinal Statement of Great Mountain Church:
Great Mountain Church is a New Testament Christian church under the lordship and authority of its founder, Jesus Christ. The guiding principles and religious doctrines of Great Mountain Church are found only in the inspired word of God contained in the Holy Bible, Authorized (King James) Version. It is the position of Great Mountain Church that the Authorized (King James) Version is God’s word in the English language, and therefore, under no circumstances shall any bible version other than the Authorized (King James) Version be used as the basis for the principles and doctrines of Great Mountain Church. The Holy Bible, Authorized (King James) Version is hereby incorporated herein by reference in its entirety.
Great Mountain Church has a body of believers, whose head is Jesus Christ. Ephesians 1:22-23, 4:15-16; Colossians 2:19. Every believer individually is a temple of God. 1 Corinthians 3:16, 6:19. In addition, Christ’s church is also the body of Christ, with many members making up that body, including, but not limited to Great Mountain Church. 1 Corinthians 12:27; Romans 12:4-5. Great Mountain Church has only one head, and that is the Lord God Almighty, Jesus Christ, who created heaven and earth and all things visible and invisible. Ephesians 1:17-23; 5:25; Colossians 1:16-18. Romans 10:17.
The bedrock Christian doctrine of Great Mountain Church is that God has predestined his elect for salvation and that salvation is exclusively by the grace of God alone through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Great Mountain Church shall be obedient to the command of Jesus Christ in Mark 16:5 to "go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." That is because "faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Ephesians 1:1-2:22. Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith. Hebrews 12:2. Christian faith is the faith of Jesus, which means that Jesus is not only the object of our faith but he is also the source of our faith. Romans 3:22; Galatians 2:16, 2:20, 3:22; Ephesians 3:12; Philippians 3:9; Revelation 14:12.
There is an evil adversary of God, called Satan, who is a fallen angel and the leader of a world conspiracy against Jesus Christ and Christians. Ephesians 6:12; 1 Peter 5:8; Revelation 1-22; Isaiah 14:12-16; Psalms 2:1-4; Ezekiel 22:25-28; Jeremiah 11:9-10. Jesus will return and judge all people and nations. Those who are saved by the faith of Jesus Christ are given eternal life in Heaven, whereas those who do not believe in Jesus will be cast into a lake of fire prepared for the devil and his angels, where the unbelievers will be tormented, weeping and gnashing their teeth for eternity. salvation will believe in Jesus. John 6:37-44. The anti-gospel has a false
Jesus, who only offers the possibility of salvation, with no assurance. The
anti-gospel blasphemously makes God out to be a liar by denying the total
depravity of man and the sovereign election of God. All who preach that false
gospel are under a curse from God. Galatians 1:6-9.
